  The time commitment is one meeting per week (2 hours) and one training session (4 hours) on a Sunday. Training Schedule is prepared each quarter. SAR groups host courses and training along with Search and Rescue Conferences held in both Canada and the US. The following is a brief list of different activities:

  • Be available for searches as a volunteer
  • Approximately twelve (12) hours per month in meetings and training exercises
  • The meetings are held on Tuesday nights (1900- 2100) and one (1) Sunday per month (1000-1600)
  • Available to chair committees and the Executive positions
  • Help with community exposure and education
  • Help with fund raising
  • Special events, training, or courses hosted by other Search and Rescue groups
