  • Courses - The price for courses varies depending on what courses you take. There is no charge for the GSAR Course, however, it is the responsibility of the volunteers to get their First Aid Tickets. The cost for the First Aid Tickets will vary depending on where you get your certification. Many courses are available to search and rescue volunteers; some are paid for while others are the responsibility of the volunteers.

• Proper Outdoor Gear. It is the responsibility of the volunteers to have proper outdoor gear and equipment (i.e. 24 hour pack, rain gear, vibram sole hiking boot).

• Reliable Transportation.
